I believe that if thieves steal, rapists rape, murderers kill, cheaters cheat (romantically), assaulters assault, abusers abuse, and arsonists burn down houses, I believe that the same should be done to them (regardless of their history). They shouldn't get off free or only placed into jail for their actions. An eye for an eye, imo.

Well, it was the medieval way of doing it. But in modern society such tradition will cause chaos. So I suppose I don't completely agree with you. But when it comes to rapists, I have boundless hatred for them. I believe they should be impaled.
I think it's possible in many cases that actions which are deemed criminal are justifiable, or in other cases the amount of evidence is shaky, so "eye-for-eye"ing it could result in someone unfairly penalized. Of course, this exists (unfair convictions) in the current Western justice systems, but being put in prison is better than being killed, or whatever.
If you really feel strongly about this there are places you could live that would do these things or worse. Like your sister is raped, therefore she is executed. Also, many places still practice torture as a way of getting a confession, so if you feel things are too easy on criminals you could easily live where things are tougher.
