Do i have normal eating habits?

I'm aware everyone has one or two weird quirks when its comes to food.

But is anyone else so "fussy" with food?

For example
I will always eat certain things in what could be classed a ritualistic way.
Mnms get sorted out into thier rainbow in pairs, i generally wont eat any odd ones [unless the overall total is an even number]

I will eat wafer buscuits in thier layers

Jaffa cakes are nibbled around the orange bit then the chocolate then the cake then the orangey crap

I used to eat everything on my plate in sections - eat all the veg then the poatoes then the meat
Ive managed to stop doing that and just eat my food.

Its frustrating because it has made me cut out a lot of the foods i enjoyed just because i cant eat them around other people [for some reason people like to wait till ive fineshed sorting out the mnms and then just fuck up the whole system and then i just dont want them at all anymore]]

Is anyone else like this?
I just wanna know cause then i could possibly be a little less embarrassed about it.

I do similar things with my food as well, but it doesn't bother me not to. Like if I have a bag of skittles or m&m's, it won't hurt me to just sit there and eat them.

Sounds like OCD. I feel like a lot of people have OCD to a certain extent. But when it starts to interfere with your day to day life, that's when it becomes an issue.

I am the opposite of you I have to mix all of my food together or it bores me. It may not be so normal as most people I know just eat but who cares if it's normal or not. If you're friends want to fuck up your whole m&m system just tell them to fuck off & go in a separate room. Never change yourself because you are not normal. You are simply unique.

I just eat my food. It is normal it really is. Just tell them to fuck off and eat however you want, you are you.

I'm not really fussy about food, but whenever I eat cupcakes, I always seem to lick the icing off first before I go for the actual cake. :)

I tend to keep my food separated, but sometimes I'll jumble them all up just for the hell of it :P

  • I think it's normal. I eat my dinner in sections: vegetables first, then meat, then carbs.

I prefer odd numbers over even numbers with my coloured candies, but I don't think I'll ever stop eating my meals in sections (nor do I want to). Although, the sorting is not as much of an issue any more - It's okay for me to eat mixed M&M's on occasion.

Now, if you'd like to see a habit that DOES interfere with daily life, the story "Is it Normal to Watch the Perpendicular Line while Walking?" makes for a nice example. This is a habit I just recently managed to kick. :P

A little quirky, but normal. I sort my skittles, then eat the colors that I have the most of til they're all the same number, then eat one of each. I also like to take wafers apart, especially in kit kats. A friend always ate her fries super slow, one at a time, 2 bites per fry no matter the size. But if it actually prevents you from eating - like you are physically incapable of just dumping the m&m's straight into your mouth - that is a sign of OCD.

I eat my food in a clockwise way & never ever eat "wet" food sandwiches are broken into teeny tiny pieces, layered biscuits i take them apart lick the icing then nibble the ends of it & leave out the middle part coz it'll be too "wet" to enjoy... it's not the norm but it's not abnormal either.
