Do i have a condition?

I quite regularly diagnose myself with psychological conditions and worry that I will have difficult leading a normal life because of these fictional conditions.

i've sort of diagnosed myself w/ an unknown condition. but i've never seen a psychiatrist, and idk if i should or not. either something's there, or i'm a hypochondriac. same thing with you...either you do have something wrong with you, or you're a hypochondriac.

You know, there's actually a condition about people who diagnose themselves with conditions frequently. I forgot what it's called though.

I can see why you would think that but I don't have any other hypochondria tendencies. But given that my parents are both psychiatrist I think it is most probably freudian transference.

never diagnose yourself. a little bit of information can be a dangerous thing, such as, making you worry about something that you don't have.

I used to do that a lot. It's normal, just realize that you DON'T have all those conditions; you're just being a bit of a hypochondriac.

The funny thing is both my parents are shrinks ( I think its largely the reason I do it because I've been exposed to that kind of thing so much).
