It depends on the person of course. There's no one across the board answer regarding ideal nipple size I'm afraid. I would personally lean towards whatever is average size and medium light skin color in regards to nipples, but seeing as I'm neither a straight man or a lesbian I don't think my personal opinion counts for much on this one.
