This question is for the men of the is it normal community.
I have no problem with asking a guy out, or starting a conversation, or teasing, or generally making the first move. I'm not insecure at all, and I don't pull any of the shit that girls normally do (like having random low self-esteem and making him reassure me, or making drama for no reason, or anything like that). I am a very no-bullshit lady, and I've never had a boyfriend, which makes me wonder: Do guys like to make the first move, or do they want the girl to do it? Is it a turn-off when a girl expresses interest first?

    I don´t know how to vote because there are two questions, one in the title and another at the end of the post. "Do guys like...?" and "Is it a turn-off"? and then options always, never... to which of these questions they should apply?
    Personally, my answer would be that it is a turn ON for me. But it certainly depends on the guy and on the girl as well.

    Maybe a mixture of both is best? Perhaps a woman that has all these traits, but doesn't make someone feel like they have no control, if that makes sense? A mixture of both with both man and woman.

    I was going to say I don't mind but I was asked out not long ago by someone exactly how you describe yourself. She was very direct, didn't mess around, got straight to the point. I thought I would have liked that but when I was in that position recently, I got quite tongue-tied and painfully shy.

    I think I did it on IIN too when americanhoney and carolann used to come after me. It looked like I was acting all bashful but I was actually being honest. It made me shy. I love them both and would happily accept either of them jumping on my bones and being all dominant on me but, for the first approach, it just made me massively shy.

    P.S. This isn't an invitation for IIN women to do bad things. Really, I'd quietly curse at you and be very frowny.

    It's a very good thing when girls make the first move. Why it should be always the guys to do that ?

    I discovered that they are as lame as guys (me included) :
    "humm i really like your piercings"
    "do you want to dance ?"
    "I'm totally wasted but I like you"
    ...
    But it's not important at all. We are all lame and shy in this kind of situation. A girl able to go over it and do something she's not supposed to (because of this stupid society and stereotypes) will always get my attention.

    i find this very flattering. men dont get this opportunity as much as women and it makes me feel desired. but i want the dominant role to some a nice dance of dominence and submission is the most gratifying to me but thats just me.

    For me I wouldn't mind her being the dominant one in a relationship infact i'd prefer it. But there would be somethings which if i'm against I would want her support and not to fight with her, obviously it wouldn't something unjustified or without reason.
