Do different liquors affect you differently personality-wise?

Assuming you're drinking to an equal state of intoxication with any given liquor, wine or beer.

Does it affect your personality greatly depending on what you drink? Like do you become mean, angry or violent on vodka but not on whiskey? Follow me?

Remember, we are assuming you are drinking to the same level of intoxication no matter what you are drinking for the purpose of getting usable answers here!!

Although it hasn't really been addressed, it's partially genetic. There is a lot of debate about this, but I began drinking before I was well versed in my mother's family history, and I demonstrated the exact same attitudes and destructive personality on brown liquor as the rest of my family on that side. Whiskey, dark rum, brown tequila, ect all make me very succeptable to emotional reactions and extreme passion, which includes fights, verbal attacks, and uncontrollable rage towards people who have no emotional connection to me(I have not, and never will,((ever!)) get physical with someone who means anything to me). On the opposite side, white tequila, mixed drinks, champagne, and wine all make me very sociable and friendly. Vodka is all on its own, not affecting my personality at all, merely making me drunk mentally.

I don't know why, but when I drink vodka, I'm very happy. You hand me whiskey and I'm a sob story. A can of beer and I'm chill. Southern comfort and I'm strippin on the nearest table... It all depends on the person. Alcohol effects each and every person a little differently than others.

Yes, I just explained this in a different post. Wine makes me chatty, whiskey gives me courage, and tequila- watch out, I never know what's going to happen.

Whiskey is my weapon of choice. Some nights it acts as a comfortable bed. Other nights it makes me a fuck machine. Either way, it puts me in a good place.

Gin makes me very social, but there is a chance I can get ferocious if the situation isn't optimal.

Beer is the marijuana of alcohols. Very mellow.

Red wine is good in large amounts, but is proven to be the only alcohol that causes headaches the next morning.

Vodka? I'm not a fan. I'll have it and enjoy it at an open bar.

Champagne? I'm not that fancy, but I like it with orange juice here and there.

Rum? Take me to Margarita town, baby! Very social... very happy... the perfect host.

whiskey makes me confident and chatty (no surprise it is my fave)

Gin makes me more affectionate but apparently gin is the biggest depressent of all alcohols

cocktails make me recoil into myself

I just chill out. I won't be overly happy and I won't be an absurd whiner either. I just chill out and enjoy myself.

  • Any large amount of alcohol makes me the girl at the party who:
    A. Turns into a stripper
    B. Laughs at everything

The most different-feeling type of booze, in comparison to all the others for me is RED WINE.
I get more relaxed, sleepy, and maybe a little horny. But the buzz goes away the quickest for some odd reason.
Beer is the chillest for me when I'm alone or with only a few friends. It feels the "stoniest"
Anything dark brown like Bourbon, Whisky, Cognac, and Rum make me feel similar, to each other. Maybe mellow buzzed. Too much=agressive.

    Tequila=sloppy but party-timish
Champagne=the QUICKEST buzz FOR SURE....but ends way too soon, and then headache.

I try to stay away from Vodka cuz the flavor gets TOO hidden if you mix it, but if it's strait up, it taste like gasoline.

Tequila honestly makes my clothes come off(in the bathroom after I get home tho!), Vodka makes me wanna bite you on your arm, beer is short lived and gives me a hangover...
My fave is Jack Daniels...I'm just fun me with Jack lol

Yes, I prefer cheap beer like Steel Reserve, High Life, Magnum, etc. It affects me differently because I can afford more beer.

More Beer = Stay Drunk Longer.

Even certain types of lager are supposed to affect people. Stella Artois is commonly known as "wife beater" here. Personally, I think that's just because it's a bit stronger than most people prefer.

But I do think different types of alcohol can affect you subtly. I hated being drunk on wine. It made me feel terrible. Beer was nice if you've got a full day and a group of friends to descend with. The best experience I ever had was with cocktails. A friend and I were mashed already when we started in on the cocktails. Both of us felt like we were floating when we left the cocktail bar. We were weightless and couldn't feel our feet on the pavement. We also felt perfectly sober and at one with the world. We never managed to repeat that feeling (so don't assume it's common), but it was perfect that one time.
