Do certain asian american groups benefit from honorary whiteness?
As an Asian American of Chinese decent I've noticed that certain Asian ethnic groups tend to "get along" more with the majority of white Americans. They have successfully assimilated to certain extents be it professionally, socially, and even maritally . I come from a suburb in north California heavily mixed with Chinese Americans, Korean Americans, and Caucasians. There appears to be a visible harmony between the various ethnic groups which is uncommon with other Asian ethnic groups which led me to following curiosity. Do certain Asian ethnic groups benefit from white privilege or honorary whiteness?
