No. I think adults who do stupid things are stupid, though. Kids are still learning. Most adults should know better. And often don't.
It's getting bad...I have less and less tolerance for stupidity as I get older...I'm turning into a crotchety old woman already...so I'm gonna be fucked by the time I'm MEANT to be a crotchety old lady...with the added bonus of having frequent moments of limitless stupidity, thus making me a hypocrite.
And I fucking hate hypocrites :(
Aww, me too. I'm virtually a crotchety old lady. Just need a little surgery or a strange accident with my food processor. At least you'll have company. *hug*
Kids do stupid things but I wouldn't say that they are stupid. No wait a minute, some kids are really stupid!
I think that the ones without kids do. But the ones that have children I think understand teens better and see the factors that could cause bad behaviors and hopefully try to prevent it.
Kids are stupid...that's why they're kids. All kids will realise this one day, once they're adults.
I have given up on teens but still believe in children. They are sending themselves to their own graves. You can not help the world. So you must sit back and watch it die. That is why I am prince the dead. Oh the damned souls. Not all kids are stupid but we have an awful lot.
I agree with Charli.
I deal with kids and teens sometimes and while they piss me off sometimes with their arrogance and their "I know everything" attitude, they are still learning. They don't know yet how little they know and I can't be angry at them for not having the life experience to know these things.
Adults, however, should know better and often they do but they choose to have it their way like they're at fucking Burger King. I have more respect for someone making an honest mistake or someone that is willing to admit their faults, and kids often don't understand these things but it absolutely angers me when adults, who should know and understand these things, refuse to take responsibility for their actions.
Maybe they wouldn't be so desperate to prove themselves if they weren't constantly treated like morons. I still have a lot of empathy with my kid-self, and I remember how much I hated it when people treated me like I was half my age.
I'm not saying you're guilty of this; I'm sure you're not. I'm just pointing out that it's not entirely the kid's fault.
I don't want to say you're right or wrong here. I know some of them aren't full of shit but on the other hand, some of them have this idea of how things work that is factually incorrect and often refuse to change their minds. That's more along the lines of what I'm talking about. If a kid is going to act half their age, yell and insult me after I tried being patient then I'm not going to say "well, this kid's probably sick of being treated half their age when they're obviously mature, articulated and responsible". Some kids just obviously aren't mature and I know that you too would know it if you saw it. Big difference between a mature young man or young woman and an arrogant asshole that can't see past their own intentions long enough to consider someone else's point of view
Surely you don't believe that every one of them is mature and adult despite how they act or react. Like I said: you know it when you see it.
