Disturbing diaper debacle

I have a strange memory that surfaces from time to time. I was 4 or 5 and I remember wetting my pants and feeling so ashamed. Then my dad put a diaper on me and said something like 'now you can act your age.' The weird part is I don't know why we'd still have diapers as I was the youngest and I don't know why I would remember this so vividly, other than the fact that it somehow traumatized me. I just remember being ashamed and he made me feel worse.

Is it normal this memory surfaces whenever I feel tension with my dad?
