Dismal day in the big apple.

So I'm driving up (going up town) the FDR highway in New York City this afternoon about 2pm. Here is what I saw: Downtown traffic at a virtual standstill from the 59th St Bridge, past the UN building up until the VA building where I came from. People we had US Coast Guard gun ships paroling the East River. Helmeted gun crew at the ready. NYPD patrol boats, armed to the teeth, idling along the water front. With NYPD cars blocking off every side street in the area of the UN. Armed National Guardsmen holding down the PA bus station on 8th ave and Grand Central. And God knows what else. So would it be normal to assume that these terrorists are now bringing their terror to us?
