Did your parents ever use manners to you?

Did your *parent(s)/guardian(s)/caregiver(s) ever say: "Please take out the trash - thank you, honey" or were they more of the "Take out the trash, idiot" type?

Did they ever admit to their shortcomings and apologise to you about them?

My mom rarely uses manners with me, after all I'm her son, I'm supposed to take out the trash and shit, but she's never mean to me.

My parents always used good manners, unless they were in a rush.

From them, I am determined to do the same for my children, whenever they appear.

I believe it encourages respect and politeness. Something that could be used in this generation.

My parents always used good manners. In fact my parents have good manners always. This sometimes annoys me, when my mum is polite with someone who is rude.
I reply to rudeness with rudeness. What comes around, goes around.
Got that from my dad, but he responds to rudeness with witty, concealed rudeness, while as I fight fire with fire XD

My mom is bossy whereas my dad is more gracious.
