    The twit thing is right but there is an urban myth in England that a pregnant goby is a twat. Twat being a moderately rude word for a very lovely body part that only women possess. It comes from the Nordic word thveit meaning field (and in the female slang case, a field with a furrow ploughed in it). Anyone who has "thwaite" in their surname has the same root, but it just means field for them.

    I don't think it's a waste of 30 seconds to know stuff like this. Knowing stuff makes the world easier to understand.

            I noticed some of your posts the past couple of weeks. You're funny. I hope you stick around! If you do, there are such funny, clever and wise people here who'll adopt you like they did me. I've only been here since last summer (many people have been here longer), but I really feel like part of it. I just love this place and the people. You never know, you may be saying this exact same thing to someone in six months when they tell you they like you!

            P.S. I hurt my middle finger on this post too. I hope no-one annoys me tomorrow. I won't be able to give them a well-deserved gesture.

    I clicked my fingers and noticed the middle finger did hit my hand so I tried to click without it touching my palm and it just really hurt.

    I love useless facts! I find them entertaining (therefore not useless), like a murder of crows, a charm of hummingbirds, an exaltation of larks, a kindle of kittens, a rockery of seals, and a scurry of squirrels!

    But the spider fact is purely an urban legend. no creature willingly heads towards the mouth of its predator.

    -I've heard that you actually eat about 6 spiders in your sleep.

    -I knew the one about goldfish (the guy at the pet store told me)

    -And I don't really consider it time wasted. :)

    I didn't know the others though.

    But did you know that....

    i got a piece of paper and put it on my palm and clicked and clicked, its true! Did you know an earthquake is sound waves? all that damage done by sound thats incredible and have you seen the little goats who faint at the slightest scare? they just fall down quietly, i want one

      I love those fainting goats but I always feel so guilty being amused by them. I want to build them a room full of cushions so they don't hurt themselves.
