Once me and a friend were on a beach and we were with a few people. we were stoned at the time
I was looking into everyone's eyes to see if they had changed color due to being high,
anyway when I looked into hers it felt different and it's like we paused and just stared at one another for a long while. It felt like we had a moment.
Years later when we reconnected, she brought this moment up all by herself.

She said "We had a connection that day and it was intense,kinda sounds a bit like romance"

Do you think she felt something more that day, do you think she was implying this?

      Weird how majority of people think she had something there for me.

      I eventually told her after 5 long grueling years of heartache how I felt and that I had strong feelings for her and I felt something that day.
      She said we had a spiritual connection and it wasn't sexual.

      Tbh it wasn't sexual and I fully agree but it doesn't have to be sexual in order to have a connection of love or in another words a romantic connection.

          That is true, however, she has and had (same dick head) a bf
          I text her after about a week... saying what I felt was an emotional connection and how she is still on my mind so will need to cut ties so I can move on. She was also really worried about me since she knew I was going through anxiety and depression due to this. Offered to help in any way she could and said she was thinking about me all week.
          I explained I'll be okay and don't worry and I can't be friends anymore.
          Idk why she thought I meant it was sexual? I said that day on the beach "I felt something" and how I developed feelings for her. It was a deep connection to me, it wasn't simply a sexual fleeting moment, it was much more deeper than that kinda like a soul connection

            She didn't say anything in regards to me stating I have to cut ties either.

            6 months ago I wrote her a long message and sent it to her on Facebook (First time I had talked to her on Fb ).
            I poured my heart out, wrote about everything I went through all the years and basically small details such as "I used to get jealous of other guys flirting with you and how I lived in fear because of the way I felt. How she was always on my mind and how I loved being around her etc
            It was genuine and well constructed. Sadly I got nothing similar in return which hurt further. No "You've been a great friend or "You do or have meant a lot to me or "I can't imagine how u must have felt all these years "
            There was no empathy and she wasn't willing to try to compromise to be a better friend either :/
            I expressed everything and how I felt she wasn't putting much effort into the friendship and I wanted a friendship at least.
            I would have gone to the end of the earth for her.
            I definitely was the most loving person she had in her life yet she gave me little of her time and I always felt like a little puppy "begging for her attention " type of thing :(

              If you can't be around her as a friend, go on a break and see how you feel.
