Porn is a great teacher. You learn how to pleasure your partner. And it gives you new ideas. Particularly for women. I mean even with porn many guys still have no idea where the clit is or what it does. I think before porn most women had to rely on self gratification to get the big O. And women have learned how to give great BJs.
If you mean internet porn, some did and some didn't: same as now, where some people are worse at sex after watching porn because they forget those people are acting and especially in the case of women, pretending for money to be turned on by acts they actually hate or are indifferent to.
You're partly correct: some porn is educational in a good way, but some is definitely not.
There are some excellent books about sex that are not pornographic, and I of course preferred reading those in my youth.
Sex was just as good, porn itself did not make it better.
But learning more about sex and the female body made it more exciting to experiment.
