Did i make the right choice?

So a while back this guy added me on facebook, I usually dont accept strangers but he was cute and we had mutual friends. We started chatting online and he seemed like the perfect guy. He was handsome, he had just graduated as an engineer and he was very educated. After a while he asked me for my number and later on he asked me out. We went on a date to the movies and he was a perfect gentleman, he payed for everything. We went on a couple of dates like 5 or 6. He seemed perfect, but i felt like there wasnt much chemistry. He told me I was shy a couple of times, but this was due to the fact that I found it very hard to maintain a conversation with him. This led to me not wanting to talk on the phone with him because if the awkward silences. I eventually distanced myself from him but now I look back and I kind of miss him... Is it normal for me to think I should have tried harder? Or was it normal of me to distance myself?

  • You did the right thing. You didn't love him, you loved the idea of him.

If you were not feeling it, you should always just quit before you get too involved. If you let it go too far, it'll be harder for both of you, and it'll still never work.

Just chose etween your brain and your heart. Your heart will make everyone happy. Your brain will also make eeryone happy.

Your heart will lead you to settle down with the love of your life.

You brain will lead you to a life of academic success.

    Your choice ;)

If the chemistry wasn't there I can understand why you distanced yourself a bit, but if you feel like you could give him another chance, then reconnect with him and try to get him to open up more so you can be closer. You did say he was shy after all, shy guys need a bit of a push, I should know I am one.
