Did friend only invite me to party cause i saw her parents in store?

Well me and my bestest friend used to be sooo close but everything changed She started hanging with someone else but we both tried to always make plans with each other. But after January this year we never hung out with each other! So yesterday I saw her parents at the grocery store and greeted them, next thing I know is that night she textes me and a few of her "new" friends that she knows it's a late notice but she's having a party for her bday tomorrow. I didn't think anything about her only inviting me cause her parents told her that they saw meh and haven't seen us hanging in a while till my mom said it. Is it true? Should I go? Thanks for any answers:)

    "Hey honey, guess who I saw at the grocery store today? your one friend blah!"
    "really? I should give her a call"
    "why don't you invite her to your party tomorrow?"
    "hey, good idea"

    Seriously, thats it. I highly doubt its a pity thing. Friends grow apart when they get older, its not that she's not your friend anymore, you guys juat have different aganedas now. I say go, have a good time, and take it for what it is.
