I've had about 3 girlfriends in my life and a week into each relationship I get depressed because she likes me. If she does something cute it depresses me or if she says I love you etc. I don't understand why it makes me sad but it does. Is this normal.
To most people this is probably not normal, but I think I know what your going through. I think your problem is that you get love struck too easily. I used to get depressed when I was in a relationship but it wasn't because my life was horrible it was because I wanted to be with my girlfriend every minute of everyday. My heart ached to be with her and that is why I felt depressed. I think you should take the time to think about whether or not they feel the same intensity towards you, as you feel towards them. Chances are that they don't, but its nothing feel bad about. This just means your more emotionally prepared for a serious relationship.
Maybe deep inside, you don't really feel the same. So when they compliment you, or show any kind of affection, you get kinda sad, because you think that you might like them, but not as much as they like you.
I think you have low-selfesteem. Because you don't believe that you are looking good when your girlfriend is saying that for example. My advice: don't care about people when they say you are not good inof. Maybe i'm wrong but i think i had the same as you because when people told me i am beautifull i felt like they were wrong and i felt depressed too. But than i started to realise that i don't need to care about what people may think of me behind my back. And from that point i kinda liked it when people gave me compliments and i didn't feel depressed anymore!

I feel like this sometimes too. It's usually though because I came to the realization that I was good at making girls laugh but was a tragic wreck entirely in every other relationship aspect thus making the laughing a proof of my singularly functioning state and how useless I am at a lot of other things.
