Deep fried food hurts!

Is it normal that my body does not process deep fried food? I used to be able to eat it when I was younger, but now when I try, it gives me MAJOR pains in my stomach and abdonimal area. I get gas pains like no tomorrow!! It's certainly not a bad thing that it keeps me away from deep fried food, since we really shouldn't be eating it anyway! Maybe that's why I can't digest it properly - 'cause my body isn't used to it. I swell up like a blowfish, and the pain is out of this world! So is this normal?? I'm 27, by the way... 5'7", 133 lbs, so I'm not obeese or anything! lol

Deep fried food is unhealthy, especially if the oil used is not changed frequently. It also causes gastric upset in the form of reflux from excess acid it triggers in the stomach.

Maybe you have gallstones. The gallbladder empties its bile after eating fatty foods and any gallstones can be an irritant. Have an ultrasound scan.
