Dead mom and cat keep appearing in dreams

i keep having dreams where my mom who died in 2005, and my cat who died earlier this year will appear. it's usually one or the other, but not usually both at the same time. i would think it was normal if the dream was mostly about them; but normally, i just say something like "i thought you were dead" or just think it, and then go about the rest of my random ass dream. sometimes they're with me throughout the dream, and sometimes i just say hi and then go on to the rest of my dream that is rather typical as far as my dreams go.

does anybody else have dead loved ones randomly appear in their dreams that otherwise have nothing to do with said loved ones?
