Daylight savings time is awful

Every year, there's a rise in the number of articles that blame "falling back" at the end of Daylight Savings Time for Seasonal Affective Disorder and general circadian rhythm malaise. Supposedly, people feel tired and unhappy after we shift the time back an hour, but, for me, it's always been the reverse. After the time change in fall, I feel like an enegetic and joyous demigod of productivity...for about 4 months, when we "spring forward" and I spend the rest of the year exhausted and loathing mornings. Anyone else here feel the same way?

An added few notes, that might be relevant to my point of view on this: I am naturally a night owl (my sleep schedule defaults to around 2,3am-10,11am), but I work a 7:30a-4:00p job. Also, I was born in February, outside of daylight savings time, but that likely has little effect on this.

It's true that DST can mess folks up, but you're in the minority.

Most people aren't night owls, and the ones that matter either go to work or school during the day. Commuting in pitch darkness is real pain in the ass. Blue collar workers and schoolkids wake up early and get home early.

The end of DST benefits those who have to leave early. I wake up every day at 6am for work, and I prefer driving to work with some sunlight to driving home in broad daylight, but, again, I like nighttime.
