Dating my ex-boyfriends friend, how do i keep the relationship?

I am dating my ex-boyfriends friend and i would like to know how do i hold this relationship.I really like him and we are having a relationship via the internet.He works overseas when we started with the relationship he spoke to me almost everyday but resently he stated that his cousin a girl is coming to visit there.He said that she was coming with family and he would introduce her to me.They are on holiday and i have never met her or the people with her. He called me to tell me that he was on his way to the island,I told him to enjoy the time with his family and that he should take pictures. I have not heard from him since.A point i want to make is that he lied to me about the flighting details.He said they where coming at the end of the month then they came the week before.I really feel something is not right.
A note i would like to say is that we started dating when i left my ex-boyfriend so regarding somethings i dont know how now to approach him.But i really like him.i would like to know how to solve this problem and keep my relationship because i yearn to call him on his trip. I AM GOING CRAZY!and not seem desperate or a compulsive jealous stalker.what should i do? I have never dated my ex-boyfriends,friend this is my first how do i keep it, we have just started.
