Darkness, silence or cold?

I suspect most people would not choose either of these.

Cold, I prefer winter and as freedom said acclimation, nope to darkness and I wouldn't really want to live in a world without music

How cold exactly? Darkness and silence are easy to quantify; a total lack of light and a total lack of sound, but a total lack of heat is -273.15 degrees C, and nobody would want that.

Unbearable? Now I'm very fond of winter but unbearable sounds like being miserable. Neverending silence just pretty much being deaf and is the closest out of the options to a normal life for me. Would encourage me to learn sign language, which I've always liked.

I would choose the cold because I am already used to it up here. A person can always adapt.

Nobody would choose darkness..unless they are already blind..darkness kills all life anyway (except for those freaks beneath the sea)

Never ending silence? There is this room; "the most quiet room on Earth". Google it, it's awesome. Anyway, I think the record for staying in that room is like 43 minutes before the person had to be carried out. Silence will make you mad.

Cold. I will make friends with Ursus maritimus and Bubo scandiacus and we would bear it together. It'll be a hoot.
