Is it normal that I have no idea what a "cousin sister" is, but I always see posts about it here? Is that a term in another country?

if i had to guess i think it is a female cousin who lives in the same house therefore is viewed as a sister?
since googling didn't really help, my guess would be a cousin you grew up with as close as a sister.
