I've recently found out you can run up, and cut a chunk out of someones hair, and you cant be fined or get in trouble for this. Its completely legal, but stupid. So I've been wanting to do this for a long time. Im thinking about going downtown and when I see a woman, just take some scissors and cut some hair off.
Is this normal?
It is normal but if you did I would
-kick you in the balls(as hard as humanly possible)
-look at your ID while you were down
-get an expensive haircut to make it work and then send you the bill (that is why I would look at the ID)
Oh and btw that is what EVERY girl would do ;P make your choice

and who knows. the person could be crazy and end up killing you. because if someone did it to me i'd take your scissors and stab you in the face until you died.
That has got to be a form of assault. I wouldn't do it. Her, her boyfried, brother, etc. would probably cut your nutsack off.
Now, let's be nice, hun. What would cutting someone's hair do for you? Imagine if someone cut your hair randomly. And also, if you use scissors, you can be charged for assault. And if you're thinking "Well, that's if they catch me... lolz," then you should probably see a doctor. Now we don't want mental people running around murdering and assaulting people, because it's legal, since no one caught you...

I went to summer camp with a girl who had GORGEOUS long black hair when I was a kid. Some other girls were jealous... they didn't cut her hair off, but they poured peroxide all over it while she slept, so when she woke up it was bleached out all orange and blonde nastiness. The girl's parents sued the other girls' parents for quite a good sum of money and won. So I'm sure if you cut someone's hair off, even if you weren't arrested, you'd be sued.
that's slighty amusing, but if you tried that shit on me i'd catch you and have you charged with 'attempted assault with a deadly weapon.'
Mate, this is NOT legal, it would be assault for sure. It would not count as bodily harm because the hair is dead, but you could still be locked up for it and also sued.

now how is this completely legal? I mean most people i'm sure dont want random strangers comming up to them and gauge a chunk out of their hair. It has got to be illegal. Well i guess it may depend on which country you're from, but i dont see any other country allowing this stupid kinda thing.
Breezy's right, it's part of their body, I think we could call it assault with a deadly weapon (scissors) and that the person who you are attacking is fully within their rights to defend themselves by beating the living shit out of you.
Haha i find this funny that your wanting to do such a thing, but like all these other people are saying this cant be legal whatsoever and im one of the people who have long hair and would seriously get money out of this somehow and find a way to throw there ass in jail.. hair will grow but its still not cool!
There is a precedent, cant remmeber the case name off-hand but it can be actual bodily harm!

I'm pretty sure they'll get you on something, assault, defacing of personal property (if it's a weave), or something to that effect. Besides if your body parts are in anyway important to you, you'd know better.

Dude you are dumb! Seriously I think it is illegal because there hair technically belongs to them so you shouldn't cut it. Besides how mean! that might be legal but if you run to fast try to cut and stab someone by mistake you can get arrested for that!!!
You know that would take away a woman%%u2019s confidence and lower her self-esteem right? Ever seen one of those make-over shows where a woman with really long hair gets it cut? They cry like children. They feel like they%%u2019re less of a woman. Many women pride themselves with having long hair. My cousin did it and she gained like 70lbs LOL! I%%u2019d stab you in your inner thigh if you did that to me.

Yeeeaah. I've always wanted to cut off girls' long hair so I can see them humiliated in school. You should make sure she doesn't notice who the cutter is. For example you can do it at a party when she is passed out drunk, or sometime when she is sleeping. Just remember that she needs to me in an unconcious state because the hairs have many nerve endings and so she can easily feel when you touch her hair. Good Luck dude!
