Cussed out in public

I just got cussed out in public. Yes it was my mistake, apologized right away. The woman continued to cuss me out for two whole minutes. When I was going to offer to pay for her photos as well, (which was alot), she told me how stupid I was. After that I didn't bother to offer and quickly left with my photos. Any advice on how to handle those situations better????
Has anyone else ever been cussed out in public??

People can be cunts. Brush it off and move on.

I feel like you got cussed out for no good reason. I mean, it was an empty kiosk. You assumed and assumed wrong, but you apologized and you had to feel pretty bad about it if you offered to pay for the photos.

If you offered to pay, it seems as if she still had a copy of the originals. You handled the situation as a champ by not getting involved and cussing back.

The only thing you need, is to know that you are a sweetheart for offering to pay for those photos.

I've been cursed out in public quite a few times even after I apologized for my mistake. I usually just ignore them and keep walking. I don't have the time or energy to deal with adults who want to throw tantrums like children.

Oh my. How bitchy/dicky people can be. Poor girl. Hope one day those people realize how stupid their attitude were for cursing someone that already apologized to them.

What, you cut in front of her in line, she cusses you out and you offer to pay to have her photos developed just because she had to wait a couple extra minutes?

The apology should have been enough for any reasonable person.

I'm not sure I understand. You were both customers to pick up photos? And this woman went off on you for 2 minutes? What could you have done to give her a reason to embarrass you both so, in public?

Indeed! How can one form an opinion or make any judgements at all without knowing what actually happened? I wish OP would just spill the beans!

Can't say I've ever been cussed out like that by a random stranger. I'm not sure I'd know how to respond to that. People like that must have no ability to rationalize that it was an accident, and reacting that way only makes them look stupid.

Call the cops on her and have her cited for assault. That will shut her up pretty quickly.
