When people are talking to me I follow along on my fingers and count the number of syllables in what they say, especially if they're particularly boring. If I feel particularly clever, I'll rearrange the words in what I say so that the syllables make a particularly nice pattern.
Make use out of your talent! Be a poet, a writer, a lyricist or all three put together and possibly much more.

I used to do that, cept i used to count the number of letters in every word, then see how many syllables the word had, and then finally divide the amount of letters by the syllables, so i could get the average amount of letters per syllable...

sounds obsessive compulsive to me, try iambic pentameter with an ababcc rhyme scheme, then publish it and see what you get.
Wow. I thought I was the only one who did things like that. I count the number of letters in everything that is said on my fingers. I don't like it when the total of a sentence is odd. If it's odd I include spaces and grammatical markings to try and make it even. If it's not even after that, it bothers me.
And I thought I was strange (I make lists of names and words). Can you say "Oh see dee"?
