Confused- what do i do?

There's this guy, let's call him Tom, who had a girlfriend for 3 years. One of my best friends and I met Tom 2 years ago, and my friend liked him since the first time we saw him, but nothing happened because Tom had a girlfriend.
During these 2 years, my friend got obsessed about Tom and I got off with a few guys, and I never thought of Tom as anything more than a friend, but we got so close, which made my friend angry and she told me she didn't like seeing him and me so close all the time (which i understand)
My friend has recently gotten a boyfriend, and Tom broke up with his girlfriend and he keeps getting so close to me (i'm single atm).. and I'm starting to like him. We're so close and he's so sweet and fit.
And, two days ago, my friend confessed to me that he still has feelings for Tom even if she's with her bf.
And Tom keeps getting so close to me and touching me.

I like Tom, my friend likes Tom, I can't like Tom, Tom doesn't like my friend, Tom might like me, What the F Do I do?

    I was in this situation once. Me and my friend liked the same guy, but the guy liked me. And I just went for it. It's stupid not to. If she can't have him that doesn't mean I can't have him either. Many people disagree with me, I know that for a fact, but many people agree too!

        Well, she was obviously pissed but she had no valid arguments to be mad at me so she didn't complain. Yay

    Ah, love triangles... Fuck love triangles.

    If you go for Tom, there's a possibility that your friend might reject you.

    If you don't go for Tom, there's still the possibility that he could go for you and the same as above.

    If you don't, AND he doesn't, you may get to keep your friend.

    OR, you could just do nothing and stay out of love triangles from now on.... Just saying.
