Confused, sad and deprssed

My boyfriend can never keep a job for more than 4 months. We have been together almost two years and he still hasn't found a stable job. He doesn't even put that much effort. I love him with all my heart but I'm getting tired of him always sitting on his ass at home not rooming for a job. He has so much time on his hands. The most he will do is half hour. I love him, but at this stage I expected to be living on my on. Not sure if I should leave him

My second ex husband was like that and also an alcoholic who did nothing, but play video games all day. I divorced him after three months. It's one decision I've never regretted.

Dump him! What will you do if you get pregnant and end up being the sole breadwinner?

Is he aware you are this Fed up with the situation? If not let him know and say something needs to change, if he's already aware then he isn't making the effort or doesn't seem to care, why do you think he's in this situation? Is he lazy? Could he be depressed?

    • I agree to talk to him about it.
He's probably always been this way and sees nothing wrong with his behavior.
Depression and other mental disorders can make people inactive too.
It's also very possible he is very lazy and will never change his habit no matter what.
Don't expect change but do tell him it bothers you.
If he doesn't try to get his act together after that it is likely he never will.

Think of where your future is headed with someone like him. I know it's hard to leave someone you're in love with, but sometimes it can be the better option if the relationship won't go anywhere else.

Tell him you'd like for him to change this habit, give him time (a month maybe, up to you), and if he doesn't change or put enough effort then you should consider finding someone else.

i mean since hes just sitting around the house any way tell him to check this out its a good way to make some spare cash and theres no commitment so he could do it when ever he feels like i do it once in a while myself i love it you cant beat easy money

its no full time job or anything but this way he could at least make money while he sits on his ass

He probably has some issue a psychiatrist can help him with, but no amount of you pressuring him to go will make him do it. The most you can do is find resources for him and suggest them, and leave it at that. You should still leave if you need to. Whatever is going on with him is personal, and he has to recognize it all on his own and see how much it's dragging him down.

Sometimes he's the sweetest guy, but on days like today, I just wanna not be here

He's in this situation because he has no ambition. But for some reason I'm in love with him and I can't let go.

He' just has no motivation. I try so hard to help him. Like today I said wanna apply to some today's I'll help you? Then he said "already hounding me? Keep it up". It's just impossible to talk to him about this.
