For all my life I have only been attracted to much older men. I value their maturity, intelligence, and protectiveness. However, I'm confused about whether I see them as merely a father figure or as a sexual interest (not that I would act on this). Worryingly I have Googled this and found very little. I hate that I'm getting older (19 now) but have always felt this way and wonder when it will stop. I desperately need to stop feeling like I need a father figure when I am no longer a child.

    When you are older you wont want or need a father figure.

    Maybe you have "daddy issues"? Did your parents divorce when you were still quite young, or maybe not even marry at all? Did you not have an especially close relationship with your father? Perhaps you didn't even know your biological father?
