Collapsing scenario... what would you do?

Okay, so here's another scenario. You're at the park watching a lady walk her dog, when she suddenly collapses. No one else is at the park and it doesn't look like anyone will come soon.

Details:
~You do not know this lady and she seems to be middle-aged.
~You have no idea what's wrong with her, but she isn't breathing.
~She has about $500 in her purse and a few credit cards and jewelry.
~You have your cell phone with you (or if you don't have a phone, the lady has one in her purse).
~No one will likely come to the park for a couple of hours.
~There are no security cameras watching you.

You don't know if this lady will recover on her own, if she will die, or if she has a horrible family that could sue you. Also, pretend that you know CPR, but are not certified.

What, in all honesty, would you do?

Walk away and pretend nothing ever happened. 2
Call 9-1-1 then walk away. 4
Call 9-1-1 and stay with her. 52
Steal the purse and run. 3
Perform CPR and risk a possible lawsuit. 9

    Stealing her purse shouldnt even be an option. What are you a fuckin demon? who does that? If you even have a lick of common sense you will stay with this lady and do everything possible to help her and keep her alive and conforable until 911 arrives.

      Well, some people would do that. Just because you think you're some saintly being doesn't mean the rest of the world is.
      As for me, yeah, I'd stay with her and call 9-11, but I'm not going to demonize someone who wouldn't do what I would do.

    If I knew how to perform CPR, why wouldn't I be certified?

    But yes, I would stay with her and call 911.

      When I do my CPR certification for work, you have to take a short class and get certified. Your certification runs out and you have to redo the class every year so that your CPR certification stays valid.

    Go through all the normal medical steps (see if she's conscious and stuff) then call 999.

    Call 9-1-1, take the money from her purse, then perform CPR and stay there.

    Call 9-1-1 and stay with her.

    right now i'm actually in that status - where i know cpr but my card ran out.

    however under the operator's direction iirc you can still perform it. cos you're obeying their instructions.

    oh and i'd make sure the dog stayed put too.

    I'd call 911, stay with her. and steal her money. And claim I wasn't even aware of her having money in the first place.

        Maybe that is what this website is. Like you, though, I wish there was a more formalised version. Perhaps you and I should ask IIN questions as Scruples questions and compare notes! ;D

    I'll assume there are no laws protecting me? Does that mean if I stay and they find out I knew CPR I could get in trouble?

    I would probably not do CPR. If something happened to her then she or her family would probably sue me. I'd call 911 on her phone and leave.

    I definitely wouldn't steal anything from her. XD
