I went to the CMA awards the other night in Nashville TN.Not that Im into new country or whatever that crap is called but it was on TV and I got a 350 dollar ticket FREE!

So everyone sucked big time.I cant believe that these people are big stars and selling records.Rascal Flatts are just annoying with all their songs sounding the same.Their lead singer has no range ,just a high pitched whine on all his songs.And the others like Carrie Underwood are so average talented but yet people rave over them like they are the Beatles or something.

Kenny Chesney brought his mother as his date.Holy hell how freaking gay is that? Big and Rich are just stupid and try so hard to be out there and be different.Brooks and Dunn are so freaking boring-- and one of them wears a toupee so bad its laughable.

The best act that night were The Eagles.Im not an Eagles fan but at least they are good at what they do and have staying power not like most of the other acts that night.....a bunch of 20 year olds who will be washed up in 2 or 3 years.

I just dont get all this mediocre stuff being hailed as something great.The singers and the lyrics are 3rd rate at best in todays country.

Anyone else feel this way.Is it normal not to get what everyone else is pissing themselves over?

    Dude I HATE country music.

    But I also hate allot of stuff that people seem to like you're initialled to your opinion, and if you ask me music seems to be a dying art form for many of the reason you said. Across almost all genres, we%%u2019re gonna be left with oldies and that all some day I%%u2019m sure of it. Still being remixed and remastered (ruined)

    I listen to all kinds of music. I don't necessarily agree with all your points, but I do have to say that I haven't really been impressed with a new country song in years.

    I grew up with real talents, like Hank Williams (Sr. and Jr.), Conway Twitty, and others like them. It's so sad that these new singers need so much music to cover up their inadequacies. Most of them flat out suck live, because they don't have all the fancy computerized filtering that makes them sound good on CD.

    The saddest things is when real talent is ignored because not everyone with real talent is beautiful, and beauty is what sells most of the new singers. O.o
