I have a bad habit of chewing on pencils and pens and stuff, sometimes I do it without even noticing that I'm doing it. Today I was chewing on a pen and a little piece of my one of my front teeth chipped off.

I'm kind of freaked out now because I always associated stuff like tooth lose and damage with older people. I'm wondering if anyone else my age or younger has ever chipped a tooth or even lost one. I know it kind of sounds silly but I can't get over it, its weird. I can't even get to a dentist until a couple weeks from now.

    My friend had a chipped tooth too. It was pretty bad. His front tooth was chipped in half in a diagonal. He had like stuff put on it though so it helped make it not noticeable that much but it got yellow lol. It never bothered me and I got use to it and never really noticed or remembered that he had it. He was my best friend after all =P

    I chipped a bottom tooth once on a salad fork. Who says salads are healthy?
    I'm going to get it fixed when I van afford it.

    I shattered one of my molars when I fell at a local donwhill mountainbiking trail, even with a fullface helmet too, was a massive crash, like 12 ft vertical drop to flat. Was spitting splints of my tooth out and the nerve pain was intense! Good day though!

    When I was 15 I chipped my tooth chewing on pens and pensils also. it's a real habit that I can't seem to get rid of.

    I chipped my tooth wen I was 8. Wen I got my first 2 wheel bike. I was so excited and acted like evil knieval on the dam thing and I hit a rock not looking, flew off and hit the cement face first. I chipped my right tooth halfway up on a slant it's was pretty bad lol. I was such a tomboy. It's all good now though u can hardly tell it happened.

    You're ok. Stop chewing. Dentist can fix it with Nuvafil or laminate.

    it's normal to chip a tooth at any age I chipped mine when I was 11

    You probably weakened the tooth with all the chewing and everything, so don't worry too much.

    And age doesn't really matter when it comes to teeth, people can lose them for many reasons, like if they don't look after them or fall badly etc.

    Just wait until you go to the dentist and I'm sure they'll be able to help more.

    That's why parents always say "don't put that in your mouth" a chipped tooth is not normal decay. Anyone can chip a tooth. I hope you'll stop the bad habit now.
