I really dig chicks with used/crappy cars. I like to think they paid for it themselves, I think it shows a bit of independence. any thoughts?
Why do you assume a chick with a nice car didn't pay for it herself? I work full time and pay all my own bills, including the payment on a 2008 Challenger SRT8 I bought last year. I think your assumption that only girls with crappy cars are somehow more independent is flawed. Most of the girls I know with crappy cars have them because they're unable to manage their money and have ruined their credit from not paying their bills on time.
My first car cost me $100, lol. 2nd one cost me $900. And my 3rd was $15,000. But at least I paid for them all by myself! :)
I'm not sure what to make of this. So you're saying if you see a chick driving a nice car you automatically assume that she didn't pay for it herself? You know, it is 2009. Ladies can do stuff now.

Ha! I drive around in a pretty crappy used car. And I did buy it myself, but I never really cared that it wasn't new. I just think that if it gets me around, its fine. I think its kinda cool that you think something like that.
Oh, and if you managed to score a nice car by working for it, then Congrats! Just dont rub it in our faces!
Nothing wrong with having a nice car, as long as you arent a complete douche about it. I agree that its better to have a car that you worked for yourself (Mines a project)than a nice car bought by your parent's money.I feel you are more greatful about it. I noticed that people are more likely to be a douche about it if they got a Brand new Car for nothing. Not everyone is like that, but i feel more of them are.

i think he wasn't meaning to say that women can't buy their own nice cars, he was saying it's HIS PERCEPTION that if you have a shitty car, not everything was handed to you in life.
i also think alot of people share this perception.. lol think about it... if your parents hadn't provided a safe and stable home with food on the table every night, love, nurturing and self esteem building, would you have even had the energy or want to finish school, get a good job and buy a car?
probably not.. i'm just saying that is the situation for most of the people I know that don't have their lives completely together.. it was the shitty start they were given in life, as opposed to a normal one.
but anyways, this guy's just saying that he finds independent women attractive, however he happens to judge independence.. i don't think you all need to take offence to that. lol
