Channel switching/ awkward moment

We recently got a Satellite, and my dad hasn't fully realized that you don't just switch to Cinemax at random. Well, he quickly found out why late night is called Skinemax, and he, my stepmom, and I were all subjected to this, together. It hasn't made things awkward or anything because it was an honest mistake, but I'd like to know if this is common.

Also, now that we have Satellite, we also have DVR. Once while me, my brother, his girlfriend, my stepbrother, his girlfriend, my stepmom, and my dad were looking through our recordings, I saw that someone had recorded Sex Games: Cancun...

It was obviously, there, and I'm positive everybody saw it. Especially after the fifth time my dad scrolled by it. This created for an incredibly awkward moment where we all knew what was going on, but nobody was going to say anything.

I would also like to know if this is normal.

    It's totally normal your dad looks at porn but its also totally normal it mnade you feel awkward. Like eww. Who wants to think of their dad watching porn and spanking it? Blech even typing it I feel weird. I agree the humor approach tho. Laughter kills awkwardness.

    I dont even know you and i can guess that you and your family were pro mccain and anti obama. Because only a conservative person would make such a big deal about nothing. Ive seen a movies with my mom that have had sex in them. And it was no big deal. And it wasnt even awkward or anything. People have sex. How do you think we're all here. If sex makes you uncomfortable around your parents, then maybe your hiding some repressed secrets of molestion. That or your a perv and you want to fuck them. Why else be so comfortable with the subject? Theres no valid excuse for it

      It's pretty f*cking akward knowing yourdad or whoever looks at porn though because your family and usually people don't think of family and sex.
