My eyes are weird! They're brown.. I know brown isn't an odd colour but they change on with my mood sometimes they're really dark or other times they're close to hazel. And also my dad has green eyes and my mom has blue how is it possible that I have brown eyes?
Are my eyes weird? Or do other peoples eyes change colours to? Is it normal?
I have Hazel eyes & mine change also. It depends on what color Im wearing, & the weather outside. Mine go from green, blue, gray, brownish, light, dark...etc. It doesnt matter what color your parents eyes are.
Brown is one of the most comment eye color, if not the most common. One of your parents had the recessive brown eye gene, and you inherited it. It isn't that crazy. Green eyes are one of the rarest colors, both my parents had green eyes and both my sister and I do. The entire rest of my extended family has blue eyes. It just happens.
you often dont get eye color from a parent but instead a grandparent or great grandparent ... Biology 101 ^___^ both parents can have brown eyes and you get blue or green etc , its all a probability
I have blue eyes, my husband has green, but two of our children have brown. It comes from our parents. His mother, and my father both have brown eyes. Check your ancestors :)
I think the mood part is your imagination. But changing of eye color can happen during puberty. Might also be a trick of the light.
Anyway, concerning the eye color of your parents and yours: Brown eye color is a dominant trait. Chances are, you dad had a brown eye color allele and it passed on to you. Of course, your mom's blue eye color allele also passed on to you, but since brown eye color is dominant, the brown eye color allele wins over the blue one. Therefore your eye color is brown.
Of course, if biology is not your thing, then it's simply because brown eye color is dominant over most eye colors.
When I was born my eyes were blue, but now they're very green! My mom has hazel eyes and my dad has blue.
If both of your parents would have blue eyes then I woild worry since then you should have blue eyes. But its not a big deal if the color of your eye changes sometimes. I have the same with green to blue rarely.
