Certain personalities choose certain colors.

Is it normal that I have observed that people's username color can correspond with their behavior on this website, sometimes?
Blue: Too common to make a lot of judgement. A lot of blues are trolls/assholes.
Green: Too common to make any judgement.
Yellow: Trolls, assholes, or cloudcuckoolanders.
Pink: A nice and good user.
Light red: Stupid, helpful, or cloudcuckoolanders.
Dark red: Assholes or cloudcuckoolanders.

NOT EVERYONE IS LIKE THAT. This is for fun! I do not pre-judge members by their color. I am not an internet racist. Colors have effects on your brain. Yellow is good for concentration, pink is calming, red makes your heart go faster.

What about purple? I feel discriminated against :P

I find yellow names difficult to read, particularly the lighter shades. I don't like pink in general. In regards to names relating to personalities of users, I can't say I've noticed anything tbh.

    • It actually isn't. Google "pink isn't a color."

I like to think that describes me rather well :P I think there's probably some truth in what you say - colours definitely have an effect on emotional response - but it would only be true for colour of username selection in cases in which people just picked a colour simply because it appealed on an unconscious level to them, as opposed to it for a conscious reason like a meaning it had to them individually, because they wanted to stand out or because they just liked the colour :P

  • I chose yellow because it fits my name. I use to be pink then I was purple after that.

I like all my fellow purples and they all seem to be similarish to me in certain ways, so maybe you're onto something.

Or maybe we just notice people the same colour as we are, and discriminate against other colours.

    *raises an eyebrow*

You missed a few. Like brown and blue and purple. You also forget green.
