Cats have infiltrated the internet

It recently dawned on me that cats have begun to infiltrate the internet. It has begun. They started slowly. Now they've entered the realm of google, of youtube...etc from cat memes to videos to stories to fables.

I consulted my grandpappy about this and, he too, agreed with me. At one point his eyes glistened in a sweet reminiscence at the first episodes of "Tom and Jerry" wayyyy years back. The 1980's musica CATS was an absolute success (Ill admit I own a VHS). Throughout history, in western literature and even ancient egypt lore, CATS have been a constant theme. It is the lure of the Feline. A prominent philosopher, Michael Newall, explained in his thesis why this is so. Its a great analytical article might i add.

I am proposing a reasonable hypothesis. Their warm fur. Their irresistible purr. One of the earliest fits of rage I remember is when a group of stupid weasel kids were taking turns pulling my kitten's tail. I wanted to kill them all in the most brutal way (preferrably by lighting them on fire) for messing with my kitten, but i restrained myself. It is the lure of the Feline.

    A friend of mine sent me a YouTube link, I made the mistake of opening it, and it was called "kitty cat dance song" I listened to it, and let me tell you, it has somehow been embedded in mah brain since then. I'm serious the song was so catchy I could not stop listening to it. I then had this impulse to share the video to everyone I knew.

    I'll admit that I google cat images to make my day better tee hee XD

    It was only a matter of time. Cats are the supreme rulers and us mere mortals are their slaves!!!! A human does not own a cat. No... A cat owns them!!!! We must make these foolish mortals see the error of their ways!!!!

    Cats are an alien race that are here to enslave Humans culturally and mentally, and later, physically. Look at cats in human cultures iin history. Ancient Egypt, the Sphinx!

        I have personally seen cats on here, some cats as tall and big as a human toddler. Though many are stray cats just wandering by.

        Rumor has it Tommy the King of All Cats is appeased

    Maybe cause the kind of people who enjoy the internet are the kind of people who understand cats (and those kind of people are awesome!) That is to say, cat people tend to be more quiet and reserved, same as people who use the internet often (speaking from experience:)

      How DARE you say such thing. Dogs are ten times bigger, sloppier, their slimy paws all over you, their rasping tongue, they throw themselves all over you. Cats you see are independent graceful agile acrobats, always landing on four feet. Try this experiment they do.

      Dogs frequently maul thir owners turn their backs to them when was last time a kitten did that huh. Didn't think so

        I aint never heard of no soldier or policeman in the world runnin around tellin about how he owes his life to his cat.
        People get cat scratch fever all the time from when kitteh attacks em. Cats are too small to do major damage or injurin. If peoples went ownin 70 pound cats theyd be linin up round them hospitals.
        I aint say in I dont like them cats, I'm sayin theyre just damn well useless next to a good dog beside mebbe catchin mice in that there barn

        Dogs show their love. They are always happy to see you. They can be trained to do multiple things (including to not jump up on people) and therefore can be more obedient than cats. They are not as moody as cats. You can take a dog running, swimming, and hunting with you. There are a variety of breeds with unique traits and personalities and appearances, so there are even dogs who are just as independent as cats. Dogs work next to firemen, policemen, and army men, finding survivors, catching criminals, sniffing out hard drugs, deadly chemicals, and cancer, making our country better alongside our human heroes.
