Do you think you can tell what kind of person someone is just by their music choice?

I think you can to a certain extent. If they listen to more than one genre, there will most likely be an underlying theme to most things they listen to.
Not the generic crap, but the songs that have a special meaning or something particular about them that you like, then those could be used as an aid to help you understand a person better.
I don't think you can, because I have seen mass murderers listen to both classical and heavy/metal music.
I listen to all kinds of music then again i define myself as a bit weird so maybe...
To an extent, maybe. Not everyone is exposed to all types of music and may not know what they are missing.
I listen to all kinds of music mostly ballads. i loath loath loath trance and techno music i think it's absolute horseshit but most of my closest friends will listen to nothing else but that horrible crap
In a certain way I think you can, obviously not 100 percent sure, but I've never seen a shy and calmed down person to listen heavy metal and a hyper energic person who listen's to classics no? Even there are lots of music genres like for example dance, I hate it and I'm open minded, Yes I don't like to listen it but I don't judge the people who does, they are people to.They don't make me listen they're music and I don't make them listen mine I they do I do it to...:)
I respect people who actually love songs for their lyrics and know what goes into music to make it great.
Most definitely. I know lots of douches and as a matter of fact, they only listen to crap rave music and repetitive beats.
so by the same standard those who listen to rap are low income criminals?
...I wouldn't necessarily say either low income or criminals, but I usually find that those who have real singing ability usually are not into rap...those people usually are ones that cannot sing...also, when I hear disgusting loud "music", it is predominately by someone listening to rap...I don't think it's my right to tell you what you should listen to, so if you want to listen to rap...okay, but please allow me to listen to what I wish to by keeping it at a reasonable volume...don't disrepect my rights!!!
