Can you spend money gained from part-time work?

I have things I want to buy, but that I can barely afford because I make so little. My first instinct is to just save it, but since it's minimum-wage part-time money, it almost seems pointless to do so.

If you were/are in my shoes, how much of it would/do you spend?

Right now, I'm saving about 80% of what I make after taxes.

Yes, all of it 2
Yes, a certain amount (which I will comment with) 10
No, save it all 3

Spend a little on something you like
you can set a side a monthly allowance to spend on yourself a luxury. Maube a movie or going out to eat at your fav place...or a gane you have been wanting.

If what you want exceeds your monthly allowance just save your allowence from one month into the next.

    • Sounds like the way to go, just wanting opinions.

Well, I am a university student. Not exactly minimum wage, but I don't make all that much. Though I save up for bigger stuff. I like saving money, but I do spend money on my car.
It's kinda my thing. Got chip tuning for 780 Euros, next stop OEM AMG bumper and if I get a stipend, joy of joys the NTG2 Infotainment system (fancy word for navigation with mp3 player)

The most logical thing is to save money, though buying the things you like most is quite tempting.
Just don't waste money on unnecessary stuff.

No. It doesn't seem to me like there'd be enough to save with bills and what have you.

How can you save 80%? Do you live in a homeless shelter or on the street?
I guess if you are making several grand a week (and calling it very little) then you might save 80% by being thrifty.

    • I said it was minimum wage and part-time. That isn't anywhere close to being several grand a week, nor living wages. I'm living in my parents' house, I'm only making about 3k per year (prediction based off current pay, I've only been there for a couple months).
