Can you really trust the news these days?

I can't. They either heavily push their political beliefs or they don't fact check anymore. I find myself actually looking up the stories, doing my own research on them(looking up multiple sources ) and seeing how off they were. I just don't trust these news channels anymore.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

The only one I half trust is Graham Ledger on One American News. The rest of them have an agenda regardless what really happens out there.

  • Don't know if it's gotten worse or alternative/new media has just started calling it out and it's being noticed but no I don't trust them much.

All news makes mistakes sometimes, but some news is better than others. Reputable news agencies fact check and try to make sure what they report is accurate. If you are unsure of whether something from the news is true or not, you can try checking Politifact, which is a good fact checking website.

Really? Even Fox and Breitbart? All news has some sort of bias. It's not always left wing.

        You must be kidding?
They were pro-Clinton, repeat the climate change rhetoric like a mantra, push for feminism etc. How are the media even remotely right-wing except Fox but they are bad for different reasons.

They are all controlled by the same international forces

  • Every news source has their own political agenda which they form their "facts" to. Liberal news outlets leave out the points that would lead you away from their views and the conservatives do the same. Just believe what you think is the truth.

Al Jazeera is fairly reliable compared to the American and European agencies.

No. You should compare multiple sources, learn to spot mistakes, and share your findings. If something seems fake, point it out and see what others think.
