II am a 23 year old female. I have been out of a relationship for 2 years, and meeting new guys is hard. I definitely have a type and I've talked to friends about it and some have suggested online dating. This is kind of daunting, especially because I'm African American and I attracted to Caucasian guys? Have you ever met other girls like this and what do they do?
Of course you can meet nice/normal guys online - online dating wouldn't exist if the only people populating the sites were absolute weirdos.
That's not to say there aren't weirdos, or assholes, or people so socially inept that they make everything awkward. You're bound to encounter a few, and receive messages from some too. So be prepared for that.
But there are going to be people very similar to you, in a similar situation, looking for a similar kind of relationship. It's no guarantee of success, but you're at least widening your pool of potential mates by looking online as well as off.
Sure you can, however it may be harder deciphering whether they're really serious because online you don't get as much information about a guy.

Wtf is a nice/normal guy anyway? Someone who won't wear ur skin around and hide u in their walls and convince all ur friends and family that they're you?
I've only met guys online. Never on a dating-site however ... I have this idea that guys will be ten times worse on those sites than on regular sites.
Just be safe and cautious. If someone seems to be too good to be true he probably is.
There are some nice guys online, but IMO good people online in general are few and far in between.
Ya, absolutely. Actually, I think it's better because you have a better selection. You can meet people near and far and get to know them better. You'll meet people who you'd never meet in person because they probably aren't in your friend circle or your job.
I use online sites to meet guys from time to time as it's easier. I think bar hopping is the only other way to meet them but out of 10 or more I've met at bars, only 1 was "nice" but he ended up not being my type so we split. So yeah, I'd say online dating is fine.
