I sure hope so. It's not like you are dead inside when you're an adult.

    Yes

My best friend from childhood is someone I have nothing in common with these days. I still love her but we are different people now. If I didn't know her as a child, I doubt we would still be friends today.

And my best friend from highschool is still absolutely amazing and still one of my most favorite people ever. I still consider her my best friend, but she isn't the friend I hang out with the most. As an adult I have made new friends and have shared intense experiences that have made them family to me. But I don't throw out the term "best friend" to just anyone. Actually, I really hate the term "bff" as it sounds insincere and a little dramatic.

But ultimately, my husband is truly my best friend. Always will be no matter what happens. But sometimes I want to have girl time.

And I'm fairly certain there are good friends of mine out there in the world that I have yet to meet, or maybe I have met them and havent realized they are family yet.

It is possible. However as adults people all have alternative motives so making friends is very difficult when you are older. As children most people are not really like that. It is also more difficult making friends when out of school. Since you do not have a random flock of people you can conjugate with.

I sure hope so. I've got an opening for the position of "new best friend" in my life, and would like to find someone who can fill it.

I don't necessarily need a new best friend but I like to meet new people and I feel it gets harder as you age since we have other commitments. However the beauty of today's age is that we can find new places to go and things to do all online. So its possible but not easy...then again making new friends was never THAT simple at any age, it just seemed that way
