Can you hear me thinking??

I feel like I'm thinking out loud half the time. If I'm on public transport I'm sure the drunk guys can hear me thinking.Well maybe not all of them but with all the people in the world I'm sure at least some of them can hear ppl's thoughts.Every now and then I think "STOP LISTENING" and I lined my hats with aluminum to stop them but I don't think it's working. Can any of you hear other people's thoughts or am I just paranoid?

You are not paranoid. I can hear you thinking right now, and it's very distracting. You need to use a thicker brand of foil!

i have thought that people are able to hear what I am thinking, but it hasn't got me anywhere useful, quite the opposite. I was interested to hear the comment about codependence. It happens most in public places like the example of the bus, but then it started a
happening to me in my own home and that was awful, as I thought my neighbours could hear what I was thinking, it meant I had no peace of mind at all. I am learning to retrain my brain not to have this habit as it is really destructive to my mental well-being and can start to become a form of hearing voices.
It is possible that in the future we may well be able to hear other people's thoughts as anything is possible, but for now its not actually happening, even if it is happening the best thing to do is think that you don't care. Often when you think other people can hear your thoughts it then makes you feel exposed, scared and vulnerable, and can make you feel like you have to hide your thoughts in layers of other thoughts so that your real thoughts are camouflaged. Being reactive to what other people might think of you is not at good place to be at... I think some of this phenomenon comes from modern life where we have to travel around "on our own" and this can be really stressful as we may not have always adapted to being able to cope with the vulnerability of being on our own "outside our tribal group" and yet it is part of everyday modern existence to go to the store on your own, commute to work etc. Listening to music or reading a book can help so you have other input to think about. But most of all don't worry. It is extremely unlikely that some stranger on the bus can hear what you are thinking. I can sympathise with the wearing the foil thing, as it would make sense to try and block out the direct transmission of your thoughts that way. I thought that my thoughts were being transmitted via my throat and tried wearing scarves to block it!!!I hope it helps to know that other people have thought similar things, but I still don't think it really is happening. Best of luck.

I am glad that I am not the only one or the first one with such problem. mine started a bout two years ago and got worst by time. it was the most destructive thing I have ever been thru. feeling like being exposed, and having to hide my thoughts in so many layers like onions. but what put a stop to it was that I finally, moved away from my birth city and cut contact with a whole bunch of so called friends. I used to think jaw bone was the silent transmitter of my thoughts.

    You. Are. Just. Like. Me.

I always think people can hear what I think, when I think this I tend to talk to myself and then see if they do something, when they look up I start to freak out and say in my mind for them to go away and not listen.
I then get really shaky and scared and shit.

If someone hears your thoughts Its when u are not focusing on what u are doing, looking at, ect but uncontrollably focusing or worrying hard on others around u or who may be around u and talking in in ur head. they might hear ur thoughts. To the person hearing it. It's not like "oh that person jus thought this I can hear them." no. The person can have a calm and clear head not thinking of nothing then a thought pops in there head thinking its there own. Then they're like where the hell did that thought come from. They don't know where it came from. Not everyone can do it. It's a way some people think. It's kinda like vibes or energy if someone is startled or scared u can feel their energy sometimes. police sense it all the time when they talkin to nervous suspects. Ur brain activity is instead ofgiving off a vibe or feeling is giving off a thought. Only a very few do it and a lot don't understand it or ever will or think in that way

Imagine our brains are like a radio-operating at different frequencies. We emit energy in waves that can be transmitted. If you tune into the right station, you never know what you might hear...

a little paranoid. I have this paranoia as well. if someone is within 3 feet of my head I have this paranoia that they can hear my thoughts in their head. It's paranoia. Your brain is bored and bullshitting you for shits and giggles lol.

It happens to me quite a bit, and people I know can do it now as well. I am a bit obsessive compulsive so sometimes things repeat in my mind, which prob makes it easier, lol, but its very real.

Feeling transparent is a symptom of a psychological condition called codependence. Having suffered from this for years, I know how self-conscious a person can feel, as if other people can see through me, even know in general about all my weaknesses, though, not specifically one's thoughts. Clearly, if one's thoughts are revealed on one's face, another person who might be observing you, could have an idea what you might be thinking. To believe, however, that other people can actually listen to one's thoughts is extreme, and could be signs of having some degree of paranoia. I personally would consult a psychiatrist if I had a continuing belief that other people could hear my thoughts. Good luck in finding an answer to this, so as to relieve your discomfort in going out among people. My sister, who suffers from paranoid personality disorder, believes she can read what people are thinking. Be well.

No, you're not normal. Go see a psychiatrist. And don't forget other things that can make you normal : rehab, gf/bf, friends, y'know, that kind of stuff.

bf/gf DO NOT make you normal. sometimes they make you clinically messed up. people get diagnosed every day as "messed up". partners are at LEAST 50% why. the other half is probably like, shroomz or something. perhaps in-laws, who knows?

I think other people can hear my thoughts too...but then again i swear i can hear other peoples thoughts. like i know what people are going to say right before they say them, but only with certain people. me and my boyfriend used to talk with out talking. I swear. we never told anyone. i could ask him what i was thinking and he was always dead on. vice/versa.

There is a large amount of nonverbal communication that goes on between humans. LARGE. How much of this is through facial expressions, body language, tone of voice, and telepathy, we can't say 100%%. Regardless, you would do well to accept this truth and move on with your life rather than resist constantly and uselessly.

People always know what other people are thinking on some level.
