Oh my! They forgot to inform you? You have already died. Sorry, sir. Please, take your dead pets and move to the next level of consciousness.

Yes, that is a commonly reported symptom. Just hold on tight to the animals and follow the light.

Welcome to the afterlife, my child. Curiously, it looks exactly like IIN.

  • Sleep is the brain's food, without "food" organic objects die.

That makes sense, as OP appears to be braindead.

There is a rare viral disease that causes people to never be able to sleep, I forgot the name of it, but you can find it on google.

Anyways, people who get it literally go insane and then die within a few months from getting no sleep.

I can go a week on little sleep but it hits me hard later on, I get headaches and am more prone to getting sick.

Anyways, I wouldn't recommend doing what you're doing-get normal sleep. Sounds to me you're having anxiety attacks due to some life problems and can't sleep.

Just a wild guess-I know of people who've faced serious difficulties in life and had anxiety/panic attacks which prevented them from sleeping and made things worse.

You should maybe see a doctor about it. I heard of some guy who played WarCraft (I think it was) a few days straight, didn't eat or sleep and he died.

There are some people who can get by in life on 4-5 hrs sleep, others like me need at least 7-8hrs, so it just depends on the individual too.

Yes, sleep deprivation can kill you. I'm sure everyone on IIN is sick of hearing of my adventures with this so I'm not going to repeat it but the stories are out there somewhere if you search for them.

I once stayed up for about 70 hours and ended up standing in front of a Kandinsky poster in my room, speaking to the shapes. True story. They had personalities. It was probably more interesting than any drug I've ever tried.

The third day is where I start going strange too. I've seen angels made of light, aliens, had timeslides, out of body experiences, conversations while part of my brain was "turned off". I've said it before but it still annoys me that I got so close to 100 hours and didn't quite make it.

They were all really interesting experiences, the OoBEs more than anything. I feel extremely privileged to know what it feels like. It's also injected an even healthier note of cynicism about the paranormal.

        P.S. Which Kandinsky? I'm a bit of a fan.

Several Circles. I love that piece, still remember the first time I ever saw it as a teen. Each one of those circles was moving around and speaking to each other with distinct character. Part of me wants to try sleep deprivation again, but I just don't really have the energy anymore to go that long without sleep.

Also, it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out what OoBE stands for.

I couldn't remember that one and had to Google it. We seem to like the same types of pieces (my favourite is Composition 7, which gives me vertigo but in a good way). I like his more geometric work too but I'm drawn to the less hmm... exact.

You could try a sleep center or drinking tea or hot milk with sugar.

I don't think it will kill you, but too little sleep is unhealthy and if it's a constant thing, may shorten your lifespan.

If you go with no sleep at all for a few weeks, you probably will die.

It might not directly kill you, but anyway sleep deprivation is unhealthy and dangerous. It can even cause hallucinations and delusional experience and I can tell you from the experience of not being able to sleep due to depression that things like that do actually happen.
You should probably see a doctor about this.
