When I was 18 I got a sword for my birthday. I was elated because I always wanted one. However, it has caused problems for me.
You see, I always keep my sword on me and sometimes when I am at a big party and I'm getting down on the dance floor, it scratches people. Sometimes it makes people bleed. It's humiliating when that happens.
Keeping my sword at my side tucked into my belt makes me feel safe. I love it. It's stainless steel and a great reflector. If somebody is pissing me off, I use it to deflect light into their eyes! I also use it as a mirror because it's so shiny!

Every day that I leave my apartment, I feel invincible, like a soldier, knowing that my sword is at my side.

    This is actually quite interesting. I still find it hard to believe, because it is true that you would probably get the cops called on you, but still interesting. If you are not faking, and legitimately carry a sword, I have the utmost respect for you. I wish more than anything that swordsmanship would come back. It used to be gentlemanly to own one. Of course, guns have changed that fact, but still, whats wrong with owning a gun with a sword? Swordsmanship should live on. More power to you...just, get a sheath, k?

    Okay, so it makes you feel safe but it also sounds like an image thing. If your hurtin people you need to put it away. Weapons are not toys their mention to jury people at the right place at the right time. Yes I love swords too. Broad swords, double edged, twin whatever their all awesome but you need to understand the risk of hurting people you care about. it's not worth your own needs. Be stronger than your own needs.
