I wasn't sure if just women or gay guys can distinguish the differences from a really good looking or handsome guy to an average guy to a very ugly guy, or if straight guys can also tell apart other guys in the same way.
I can walk in a furniture store and tell which couches look good and which ones don't. You don't have to want to have sex with something to tell if it looks good.
I'm a straight guy, and I've always had problems comprehending what women see attractive in some guys.
I could understand the attraction of some - DiCaprio, Travolta, and Clooney, for example. But there are loads of guys who are supposedly panty-moisteners and look pretty ordinary to me.

Yeah, despite what some straight guys may say (cos gay) they can tell the basic differences, and can recognise when another dude would probably be considered attractive.
But sometimes there are surprises (imo, anyway) - like, girls will think a guy is hot but guys won't really see why. Sometimes it seems like any guy that's tall or has a certain build is "hot" regardless of his face. Meh...who knows. The vag wants what the vag wants.
Well yeah, you can recognise things like clear skin, facial symmetry, good grooming habits and a healthy gym body on someone you're not sexually attracted to.

This is an interesting question in regards to female attraction. More than half the women I know lost their shit professing their desire for Justin Timberlake during the super bowl halftime show.
But if he was exactly the same person and an unknown and did those same high pitched singing and effeminate dance moves in a public forum as an unknown, and was not a celebrity; these chicks would laugh at his ass.
Women value status, confidence, and power, more than anything.
If you want to know that I can tell that Chris Pine & Leonardo DiCaprio are better looking than say Danny DeVito or Steven Seagal then yes.
