Can people read my mind?

ok so i always feel like people can read what i am thinking. like one time i was at my relatives house and i was thinking to myself "wow, her room is really ugly. they have to paint the walls" and then as soon as i finished this thought my relative was like "oh yes, someone is coming today to paint the bedroom, so what color would you like?"

this has happened to me more than once. am i crazy?

I know what you're talking about. The incident you've described does sound rather freaky though o_0
    Don't worry - it's probably just a coincidence.
I sometimes get a bit paranoid that people can read my thoughts, that's all.

This keeps happening to me, but not just with people around me. One time I was watching Big Brother (on tv) and I got bored and started thinking about Derren Brown (famous hypnotist) and all of a sudden the people on Big Brother started talking about him! Things like that keep happening to me and it's kinda creeping me out. xD

It's normal, I sometimes think that too. Seriously. I sometimes get so irritated that I think "fuck off and stop reading my mind!"...
But your relative probably saw your body language, facial expression, or they're perceptive.

This happesn to me ALL the time. I kid you not. Daily, hourly. I think something, I get looks and I get people touching their nose or eye, or mouth, depending on what thought I'm having. Sound schizophrenic? I thought so for awhile but I've put it to a test and I'm at a loss as to how or why this is suddenly happening.

    Try this out sometime:
Walk up to a girl, and think "Hey baby, wanna fuck?"
    See what happens.
Oh, and videotape it for me.

Question: Why would "the relative" ask YOU what color the room should be if it was "the girl's" room?

It keeps happening to me all the time. I think my neighbors are able to read my thoughts and also keep verbally responding to them.

I believe you. See my response to WerGod above. I lived next to a neighbor for 13 years who did this. It was a mess, she was a bully, and her psychic and overt behavior was finally what caused me to leave (which was actually a good thing).

It wasn't until I moved away and encountered it AGAIN, this time with a housemate/relative, that I realized my former neighbor was operating on a level that was psychic.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to have people respond to the unsaid word, but it can be, depending on how people do so. It's about intent, IMO, and being highly respectful of others, as possible, even when we get information about them through our sixth sense.

I'll tell you this, and you must read very carefully.
You are not crazy. People can read body language, and many people do, but that can only be done to a certain extent, it often goes far beyond body language.
Don't openly talk to people about this, you will be put on medication or in a mental institution. You don't want to go down any of those routes. Medication only numbs and dumbs you down and has irreversible damage on your personality and cognitive functions.
Notice this, there is a fine line between spirituality and mental health, so you need to keep up your game and investigate on these issues so you can separate them, because they usually go hand on hand.
What im about to share with you, you will not hear coming out of most people's mouths, but don't lose trust on them, one day you will understand why this is a very sensitive subject.
The truth is, people are not reading your mind, it is you who is emitting your thoughts to them. Thoughts and feelings are shared between humans, and this goes much deeper than the physical reality. You only need to calm down your mind, stop thinking, start listening, start observing with a non-judgemental attitude, practice mindfullness.
From here, everything will change, you will even start hearing the thoughts that are being sent your way.
This is how the universe works. Many people know about this, many people don't, but neither of them will openly talk about it, not yet, the time will come.
Even 5 years later i hope i could've been of some help.
    Have fun.

WerGod, it was helpful for me to read your response, though I am not the OP. I am experiencing that my mind is being read by a narcissist, and, I have to be very careful who I tell about the situation, just as you say, because 99.99% of people won't get it and will incriminate me, and it would mess up my life. There's dark psychic and light psychic and this narcissist is using their skills for dark, tearing me down, manipulating, etc., all which is quite torturous and yet unprovable to the outside world. It is full-on emotional abuse that has affected my body as well. I can hear their thoughts towards me and towards others, to some extent, but I don't use that to control them. I have used that to defend against them, with counter thoughts. I wish I could PM you but I am not a member of the premium service on this site to do so. Hopefully if others read this and relate they can know they are not crazy. There is indeed the act of reading simple body language, and, there is the distinctly separate skill of reading minds. Meditation and intense desire to grow spiritually has helped me to discern, though I still feel low defenses regarding dark psychics.

I get so scared, and sometimes cry, thinking whatever I think my mother will know.

On a daily basis this happens to me, and I have OCD so I think random things, sometimes that aren't true, but today I told my mom "Me and ___ were talking about..." and I stopped, because it was about my Dad's birthday present. I was going to talk about the PS4 vs the Xbox One, and my mom immediately said - "I think the PS4 is better than the Xbox, according to what people say."

I did not mention anything about gifts, or any game systems, and nobody was talking about game systems.

Having OCD is hard, and speaks to the underlying anxiety which may be making you 'energetically open' to being read by your mom. Anxiety ungrounds us (duh) and our field. We become scattered energetically and as if we have holes in our usual 'skin', allowing others to enter in emotionally, psychically, physically, etc., that we may not want or may not be aware of.

If you have a loving relationship with your mother, could you sit with her and say that you are struggling with anxiety and want her support by her doing what she can to block out what she hears of your thoughts? And, meanwhile, you can pursue ways to reduce the broadcasting of your thoughts. I am in the throes of trying to reduce this for myself and don't have a solid path or plan, but I do pray and just started praying for help in this, and, used an essential oil by Aura Cacia for the solar plexus (the power center of the energetic body), and, have been doing a breathing exercise to breathe in light and yellow and warm, peaceful energy and color and breathe out fear and other toxins. These are all calming me when alone, though I still get very anxious when around the person who is reading my mind.

Watch your facial expressions.People can understand what you feel by looking at your face.
No need to read your mind.
Like:You enter the room and think(You shouldn't actually be aware of what you think,it might be a case of deja-pensè or echo de la pensè):Wow this room is very ugly. With a face.Looking around with a "not impressed look on your face".
You can't really control your facial expressions. So I don't read your mind,I just understand you didn't like the room from tell tale signs. From the way you are behaving.
And ask you:You don't like it?thus making you feel like I have been reading your mind. But nobody can actually violate your thoughts like that.Unless they have been studing, observing you,for a long time, taking notes about everything you say and do.And scheduling your every cognitive and emotional reaction.Other people just happen to get it right and predict what you might think by "Wild guessing",or in other words,by simply minding what most people who behave a certain way might think ruffly in a particular situation or circumstance. It's not magic and it's not rocket science.
It's merely a "black dirty psychology trick".Got it?
In your particular case:The guy or girl noticed you didn't like the color of the paint because you stared at the walls insistently. So said the line.It was more like a:I see you noticed the walls eh?yeah.Someone is coming to paint them today. You didn't notice she was looking at you, even if it was quite clear, because you were staring at the walls. And feeling uncertain and kind of anxious about saying what you had in mind fearing she/he would be offended or whatever..
Now that you know how it works, this nonsense about people reading your mind should get out of your system.
I used to be so into this "mind reading trip" that I just figured out what most of my friends were gonna say before they actually did.
It didn't work as well with strangers tho.
So I kind of figured,it's all about sincerely and honestly get to know each other without hypocrisies. And accept each other no matter how chubby, disgusting, awkward, strange or weird.Period.I'm blazing out.

ya this happens to me to, not the part about people responding. thats pretty cool though, or creppy.. but ya i think that thought that sombodey is listening is whenever i am thinking something i shouldnt n then i get embarrased and cant stop thinkin bout it and its a weird cycle thingy. but about other phscyic things it was so cool today i was doing my math homework outside at lunch today out of my book, and , wheneveri wanted to turn the page back or forth it went the way i wanted it to. this only happened until i said something about it but i actually wasnt really noticing it at first and felt that i was just moving it like it happens everyday. but ya i was pretty happy bout that.

Has happened to me once, in fact, I did it to my mom once. I saw a car next to the road, and I could just tell she hated it w/o looking at her, so I said this exactly "Yes, it is ugly" She started flipping out and was like, "Did I just say that?"

I might try that the next time I pick up on a thought from the person I live with who is thinking vile things about me and then lying about it. I could say, 'No, I'm not a POS.' and see what happens. Thanks for the inspiration.

I think that this is a very interesting thing to think about... While I do not believe that it is possible to actually see another person's thoughts, I do think that our body language is often much better than we credit ourselves for. It also seems that some people are especially good at picking up on these signals. Someone who you have developed a strong personal relationship with you may very easily be able to, in effect "read your mind" at times. If only on a subconscious level.

ok so I totally believe this. I had this thought on my mind for a while but had never said anything out loud about it. One night i went to Denny's with some friends and a group of kids who i had never met or even seen before came and sat in the booth right behind me. After awhile i heard them talking and a few things they said were exactly word for word of the thoughts i have been having for about a week. It was the craziest thing that had ever happened to me.

Good answer, but I think I have a better one. If you are a true psychonaut you will have learned about synchronicity. I think it is just synchronicity... Sometimes it happens, like its 4:44 right now, and in an hour and some odd minutes it will be 5:55. Sometimes coincidences happen. Average people cannot read your mind.
