Can nurses be called “doctor” if they get their phd?

This might be a stupid question but...Can nurses be called “Doctor” if they get their DNP or PhD? I know that you can call someone that if they get their PhD, but I’m not sure if that applies to nurses because patients might confuse them as medical doctors.

The title Doctor can be used by anyone that has a doctorate. A nurse with a doctorate degree should be able to use the title Doctor as long as they make it clear to patients that they are not the physician. That only applies to the US though. Other countries have different rules regarding how the title doctor is used.

anyone who has a phd can be called doctor but in my experience anyone whos a phd in somethin like art history and insists on bein called doctor is gonna be a fuckin tool

a doctor with a medical license is always a doctor

a nurse with a phd could prolly git away with bein called doctor but id guess itd depend on the personal dynamics at the particular placea employment

also a nurse with them credentials & experience wouldnt be takin pulses and fluffin pillows theyd be at senior levelsa management
