Can men fight back if attacked by a woman???

For me, a man should never hit a women expect under two conditions.

1) When my life is in danger
2) When she physically hurts my mother. In this case, I have no problem breaking the woman's face.

Take away gender and you have:
1 physically stronger person and 1 physically weaker person.

Is it acceptable for the weaker person to assault the stronger person: No.

Is it acceptable for the stronger person to return the attack and assault the weaker person: No.

Is it acceptable for the stronger person to fend off the attack without assaulting the weaker person: Yes.

I think regardless of whether he hurts her or not, he is allowed to do anything in self-defense. He shouldn't try to hurt her, but if he has to to stop her hurting him then he can.

Yes, but as with ANY self-defense, it can't be excessive.

I say a man can block and push away (not like into a wall but enough to back her off) then get out of the situation.

I acknowledge some woman hit guys HARD and provoke getting hit, but I don't think guys should hit back at all because they have the advantage of upper body strength and could hit much harder than most women ever could. They should just take a drive or walk or kick her out of the house (which would probably result in a broken window if she's being violent, in which case I'd call the cops)

Funny how women fought for equality but still demand special treatment like getting meals paid for and doors opened, and not getting slapped even after slapping a man several times... everyone should treat others how they would like to be treated themselves. Women and men should never allow themselves to be hurt physically.

No man should physically hit a woman, but if she is beating the shit out of him then he should be able to defend himself. But not by hitting her back. Physical restraint or run away.

If a women trys to atack me, since I'm quite a bit stronger than your average woman, I can probably man-handle her in to submission (put her on the floor)

Depends on the circumstance. If she's throwing haymakers I'm just gonna toss her ass on the ground and restrain her.

If she is just mad at me and gives me a slap or something that's not too big of a deal as far as a physical threat I most likely won't react physically.

If a woman is seriously attacking a man (punches, kick to the nuts, eye gouging) then I think he has the right to defend himself as he would if she were a man. If she's attacking him with a her purse or shopping bag, a punch to the face would seem like overkill. But mace would be appropriate, I think. LOL

Ahhh, the age-old question of men hitting women. I am extremely old-fashioned and I would never strike a man, but if I were to do so, I would expect to be defended against. I don't believe in beating up a person for attacking you, though.

I'm not going to fight until she makes a true fist. If a girl can make a fist like a man and then swing it like a man then screw all else. She's going down, hard. Unfortunately as you've pointed out some people ain't too fond of guys that hit women, even if she just kicked him in the nuts. So I guess you should just break up with that person and consider taking them to court.

I think the main problem is that sometimes men will say that they were "defending" themselves after getting caught beating the ever living shit out of her. When in reality, the damage he did to her is clearly overkill. It wasn't necessary to land that many hits and punches to her body, yet the man can easily justify it and say, "She attacked me first."

I believe in self defense. But continuing to beat her after she's already stopped? That's going over board.
But that's with any violent dispute, regardless of gender.

Thats a tough one... the only thing I know for sure is if she is coming at you with a knife saying she is going to kill you... yes, it is definately okay to do whatever you have to do to NOT GET MURDERED.

The women should just be sent to jail for the violence she caused, the guy shouldn't fight back by any means. And sad to say truthfully I could see the guy getting blamed for the fight if he would fight(defend) back too. Why I say this, is because people these days are so sexist and stereotype too often. Since he's a man he is stronger than the woman even though she caused the fight and the guy didn't even do anything wrong.

I think a man should be able to fight a woman as he would fight a man. I'm female, and if I ever got in a fight with a guy, I'd like him to be able to fight me as though I was male.
