Can i go through this distance relationship?

Hey everyone,
I am with a guy for like 2 years now, i really love him and I think he loves me so much, but he will leave the 20 september to another country to study for one year ( that what he said, but i am sure he will do a master also there, but i dont want to ask him abt that, i dont want to be sad more that i am right now), and we will not see each other for one year at least.
I have too many questions, I want to know if it will works ? does anyone here had or have this kind of relationships ?
what should we do to make it work?
do you have any sweet idea that can be done to maintain this love?
I am scared that the sparks between our us die!
please help me, i am deeeeeply sad... I cry every day, I dont want to loose him and I cant stand him to be far away from me

    Of course it's possible. My friend was in a relationship with someone from another country from the start as they met online. She and him met on a forum, stayed in love and boom, got married last year. They were doing back and forth for 4 years until they got to stay together but they are incredibly happy together. I would never say no if you feel strongly about someone!! Go for it.

    If both of you are committed it is possible, I would recommend to visit each other at least 4 times a year for at least a week
    Futher try thing to remain in contact like skype
    If you are truly committed to each other and you trust each other then you got a good shot
    If you got trust issues or no commitment then I wobt give you much hope in your ldr

    Futher try to look some info up, they work but its a vargile somthing abd you need to enter it as prepared as possible

      That's messed. My friend just married someone she met online from another country and they did long distance for 4 years until they finally moved to be together/got married.

      Who says that? My fiance is from England and I'm from America. We are still doing long distance right now and we're still in love and going stronger than ever.

      I don't think that saying is true. Long distance works between all couples who actually love each other. If they don't, then it doesn't work. I feel like it's a good test to see if it's true love. If it doesn't work out, it wasn't love or at least, the love wasn't strong enough. If it does, however, work out as in marriage, then it proves they're meant to be together as they were able to overcome the obstacles of distance.

    It's hard. Damn, if I were you I'd break up. I could barely stand it without my boyfriend for a few days. A year drive me NUTS. N' not the good kind of nuts. (;

    Skype, plan visits early on and whenever you can so the you can look forward to the next time you see eachother, mail eachother stuff, and just do stupid little fun things to keep the conversation lighthearted- especially in the first couple months when it's hardest. Don't stress over whether or not you want to go through with it because you will figure that out on your own later and there is no harm in trying it. http://m.wikihow.com/Not-Miss-Your-Partner-in-a-Long-Distance-Relationship
